Locus of Centers of Conics which pass through a Triangle and its Orthocenter

W e examine this locus for a general isosceles triangle, whose vertices are located at (-a,0), (a,0) and (0,b). We parameterize the family by forcing them to also pass through the point (-2,t). The locus of the midpoint of the conic is a circle. A mere coffee break won’t do it for this calculation - this one takes more like a lunch break! Expressions |
